Santa Ana is home to Santa Ana College, a community college that is part of the Rancho Santiago Community College District. The Santa Ana College was the second community college founded in Orange County, and is the fourth oldest in all of California. Various programs lead to the awarding of Associate degrees in Arts and Sciences, as well as vocational certificates, and Santa Ana College is home to Tessmann Planetarium (recently renovated).
