The Santa Ana Zoo is a 20-acre site focusing on the animals and plants of Central and South America. The Zoo hosts more than 270,000 people annually, and opened in 1952. The focus of the Santa Ana Zoo is recreation, education, and conservation, and the Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
The Discovery Science Center is a learning complex with more than 100 hands-on science exhibits designed to spark children's natural curiosity. The center is divided into several themed areas: Discovery Stadium, Techno Arts, Air & Space, Perception, Dynamic Earth, Quake Zone, the Digital Lab and KidStation. Dino Quest is Discovery Science Center's newest exhibit.
The Bowers Museum is one of only 750 museums in America accredited by the American Association of Museums, and is the only museum in the United States to partner with the British Museum. The Museum has a large temporary exhibition space, a courtyard, a children's museum section, and a restaurant.
Main Place Mall is an indoor tri-level, 1.1 million sq. ft. shopping center, and is comprised of 190 stores, 15 fast food shops, and five restaurants. |
